In short. The App is free and supported by ads; it sells nothing. Paid questions are offered only in our separate app, IAS. Everything is calculated on your device and offered for cultural interest and reflection, not as prediction or professional advice. Our liability is limited. The full terms follow.

1. Who We Are, and What These Terms Cover

These terms are an agreement between you and Imagination Innovations LLC, a California limited liability company of Sunnyvale, California, USA (“we”, “us”). They cover Panchang & Vedic Astrology (“the App”): the Android app distributed on Google Play, the web version at apps.imagination-innovations.com, and their updates. By using the App you accept these terms; if you do not, do not use it.

2. What the App Is

The App computes astronomical quantities on your device with a published ephemeris and presents them in the vocabulary of Hindu calendrical and astrological practice: Lahiri (Chitrapaksha) ayanamsa, whole-sign houses, mean lunar nodes, and festival dates reckoned by the kala rules of the nirnaya texts. Its interpretive text is fixed, concise, traditional guidance written into the App — not generated by artificial intelligence and not prepared by a person for you.

There is no account and no consultation in the App. We do not arrange readings with astrologers and sell no remedies, gemstones, pujas or religious services.

3. Your Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on devices you control, for your own non-commercial purposes. You may keep, print and share the output of your own charts, calendars and layouts. The software, designs, calculation methods as implemented and interpretive text belong to their author and are licensed to Imagination Innovations LLC, which publishes them; we reserve all rights not expressly granted.

Open-source components (listed under ☰ → Licences) remain the property of their authors and are licensed on their own terms, which prevail for those components. Traditional calendrical, astrological, Vaastu and Feng Shui methods, and the traditional Chinese lunar chart, are long-standing cultural knowledge in which we claim no ownership.

4. Free App and Advertising

The App is free to download and use. The free Android app shows a banner from Google AdMob, and the website shows ads from Google AdSense. We do not choose or endorse the ads — including ads for astrologers, remedies or other apps — and are not responsible for advertisers’ goods, services or claims. Tapping an ad takes you to the advertiser, under its own terms. The website is a lighter edition; tools marked ★ are only in the Android app.

5. Other Apps We Promote

The App shows cards for Innovations Astrology Studio (“IAS”), a separate app we publish in which you can pay to ask questions. IAS is not part of the App: it has its own terms, privacy policy and refund policy, which apply if you install or buy anything in it. Nothing is sold inside the App.

6. Accuracy

We take the arithmetic seriously, but the App is provided “as is”. Almanacs, regions and schools legitimately disagree, and a result may differ from the one your family, temple or priest follows. Every chart depends on the birth date, time and place you enter; a wrong or rounded time makes house-based results wrong without any warning on screen. Check anything that matters against a source you trust.

7. Acceptable Use

Do not use the App unlawfully, or to make decisions about another person such as employment, credit, insurance, housing or marriage without their knowledge.

Do not use the baby page in any decision about a pregnancy, or for sex selection. Pre-natal sex determination is unlawful in several countries, including India.

Do not decompile, scrape, resell or redistribute the App or its content, except as the law expressly allows or as the open-source licences permit for their components.

Do not generate fraudulent ad impressions or clicks.

8. Age

You must be at least 13 to use the App.

9. Availability and Changes

The App runs on your device and keeps working offline. We may change, suspend or withdraw any feature or the App, and are not obliged to provide updates or continued distribution. Reminders depend on your phone’s clock, notification settings and battery optimisation and may be delayed or not arrive.

10. Warranty

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of any calculation, timing or reading, non-infringement and uninterrupted operation.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Imagination Innovations LLC and its members, managers, officers, employees, licensors and agents are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, lost profits or data, or any decision made in reliance on a date, timing, chart, layout or reading. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to US$10, the App being free.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, or your rights under mandatory consumer law.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against third-party claims arising from your breach of these terms or your unlawful use of the App, except to the extent caused by our own act or omission.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. The state and federal courts of Santa Clara County, California have exclusive jurisdiction. This does not limit your right to use a small-claims court or to rely on the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms and will post the new version with a new date. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept it; if you do not, uninstall it.

15. General

These terms, with the Privacy Policy, Refund Policy and Disclaimer, are the whole agreement about the App. Google Play’s terms also apply to your download. If any part is unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Not enforcing a term is not a waiver. You may not assign these terms; we may assign them to a successor to our business.
